Very nice example of how language barriers contain knowledge. A very well written article, and even though idealistic and optimistic not too farfetched. Technological evolution will play a part in erasing the nation state and foremost in bringing us together as a world community. To represent conflicts as denying this is just proving that the change is real. Revolution is change of an established system and that will never go without conflict even if it is resolved peacefully. AI translations will be a great developement, but in itself it will not make the nation state obsolete. Language is a great part of our cultural heritage and only its function as a tool of communication will be made easier accessible.
