Just a short video of our well going in. It was a long time coming. It went in on 04/30/2017. It has been in over a year and it is just now starting to get all the sand out of it. The water was drinkable about 3 or 4 days after it was drilled. It took some time of running (about 4 days of running on a sprinkler to clear up really well.) to get all the boring fluids and such out of it. We have a filter on it and it catches most all of the sand and stuff. Water is one of the most important things you can have on your homestead. I can tell you from experience that hauling water is not fun at all. We had to haul water for quite a while.

On our farm in Canada, we had what they called a sand point to keep the dirt from getting in the water. But it is so good to have your own water!
