20 Facts About Me!

Hello All My Fellow Steemians,

I saw an interesting post by @alexvan where he wrote 20 facts about himself. This reminded me of the old school chain letters from the days of myspace (I actually miss that silliness!) I have decided I will also join as other Steemians have been doing, and hope to entertain along the way.

I want to start by prefacing with the fact that I live an unfiltered life. I tell it like it is, unapologetically (is this a word?). Some of the facts you will read will make you annoyed, shocked, stunned, bored, but I am still going to say that. Keep that in mind while you read my facts, they may not make you always smile, but they will make you feel.

So here are 20 facts about me:

  1. I am loyal. I am so loyal, that I get deeply hurt and disturbed when someone isn't loyal back to me. It gets to the point of holding grudges and even leads to never forgiving, and I am fine with that. I am a ride or die bitch. If you hurt one of my peoples, all I can think about is to fuck you up. I am a pitbull on a chain, ready to be let go on your ass when given the green light. I would never take it upon myself though. I always wait until I am told it is OK before stirring the pot. Hell, I don't stir the pot, I throw it across the room.

  1. I have never traveled out of the United States for real. Yes I have been on cruises to the Bahamas, Mexico, other weird islands I have never heard of, but I have never actually spent the night in another country. I fantasize about it non stop. I have this dream of living abroad for a year or so, just backpacking and seeing the world and what it has to offer.

  2. I am a full fledged 90's kid. It is to the point where I think music these days suck, no show is as good as Saved By The Bell, and Back To The Future is a movie we watch over and over, NOT Hunger Games. I work with kids in foster care, and have asked them if they know who Wu Tang Clan is. They do not. And it breaks my heart into a million little pieces.

  3. I was born with Scoliosis, but is only noticeable if I am not wearing a shirt to cover my back. It causes daily pain, and has now resulted in a torn disc, and a bulging disc. There are days that I cannot walk, put on shoes, sit on the toilet, walk without a cane. My doctors don't believe me.

  4. I am diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Even though I am outgoing, likeable, funny, sarcastic, and positive, I have a hard time believing people like me, especially co-workers. This has caused me to have 12 jobs in the past 15 years. A majority of the jobs have been in child welfare as a social worker. Seeing the child welfare system for the better part of 10 years has caused PTSD in me. I have seen things you have only dreamed of, or have seen in movies.

  5. I don't believe in spending money on material things, and I am so frugal it annoys my fiancee. I will even put back stuff before I get to checkout so I do not waste money. I do not buy stuff unless I need it. I ask for household items for Christmas so I don't have to buy pots, pans, dishes, cups, soap, toothpaste, etc. I know this is because of the way I was raised.

  1. I love 90's era hip hop and R&B. Every year I get a Christmas ornament that pays homage to a group I like. So far I have Wu Tang Clan, No Limit, Snoop Dogg, Lil Kim, and Outkast. I have two Wu Tang Clan albums framed and on the wall. I will regularly quote lyrics as answers to questions (sometimes people catch on). The last concert I went to was Sir Mixalot. I just read the biography of T-Boz from TLC. I take it to the extreme and it is a hobby.

  1. I love to travel and see things in the United States. I have every weekend for the next two years planned out to see as many things as possible. I want to see cities, history, waterfalls, dunes, hills, mountains, everything. I like using my need for wanderlust to write and practice photography. I like taking pictures that seem too good to be from a cell phone, and I never use filters.

  2. I am obsessed with watching TV. Being lazy makes me the happiest person in the world. I do not exercise, and would rather be fat on the couch. This affects my scoliosis negatively, and I beat myself up about it from time to time. I will binge watch whole series over and over again. I am currently on Grey's Anatomy, for the third time.

  3. Facebook pisses me off. I cannot go on it without getting pissed at something. Facebook has turned this society into a bunch of people who honestly think their opinions matter. They use this means of communication for the chance to be a keyboard cowboy, troll, talk shit, and spew dumb. I wish there was no such thing as Facebook.

  4. I am in a writing critique group. I love to have my work critiqued so I can be a better writier. At first I hated it, and would get so offended when I would get feedback. I had to tell myself, get over yourself! You aren't perfect, stop being an ass! Since then I have seen my writing completely change and become so much more than it used to e. I still have more to learn, and I can't wait to soak it up.

  1. I worked in radio stations for almost 5 years. I went to college with a hope that I could get into media broadcasting with my communications degree. I started out in promotions, and would set up the live remotes for when the "street team" would be out and about at bars and car lots. i worked my way up to becoming on air talent on the weekends, then even had my own all request show on Friday nights. I loved that job, and am good at shooting the shit with people who like music as much as I do.

  2. I am genderqueer, or genferfluid. Many people do not know what this means. This does not mean that I am transgender. I will explain. I was born a female. I have all female anatomy. Most days I look in the mirror, and I do not see a female. My friends and family tell me I look like a very pretty female, but I do not see the same thing when I look in the mirror. I feel more masculine than feminine. When I try to explain my gender, I say it is somewhere between a female and a male. I would never identify as a male though. This leads to my next fact, sexual orientation.

  3. I identify as being a homosexual. I like boys and girls. I am currently in a heterosexual relationship with my male fiancee, but I still identify with being a homosexual. Some people like to call it bisexual, and think people like me need my own term, but I don't think we really do need a separate label. People are either straight or gay, period. My fiancee knows I am a homosexual, and he is fine with it, and trusts that we are committed to each other, regardless of our gender identification.

  4. I am an only child. I spent many years playing with and entertaining myself. I didn't need people to entertain me, but I was always focused on rehearsing to entertain other in some way. Sometimes I would practice singing and dancing. Other times I would write a novel, or practice a screen play. I believe that because I never had to share anything or a space, I have always had a hard time living with other people. I especially don't like when people are annoying on purpose, like nit picking. I especially don't like it when someone breathes on me when I am trying to fall asleep.

  5. I have never been arrested. I am actually surprised and shocked that I have not ever been arrested either. Working in radio, I pulled many dumb stunts along the way, and also got away with them because I was in radio, whew!

  6. I love McDonalds. Let me say that again. I LOVE MCDONALDS. I wish I could eat it every day for every meal. I have to fight the urge to not eat McDonald's. I know it is so disgusting and bad for you, but I can't help it. Why is it so fucking good?!?! The fries are sprinkled with crack, I swear.

  7. I grow my toenails long like I grow mu fingernails. Both my fingernails and my toenails are super strong, and grow really fast. i regularly get complimented on my fingernails. People have always made fun of me for growing out my toenails. I read in elementary school that Egyptian Queens grew out their toenails as a sign of being waited on, never having to cut their toenails to walk around to tend to things on their own. Ever since I read that, I felt the need to grow mine out.

  8. My first job was at Ross Clothing Store when I was 16 years old. I went to the mall and looked everywhere for a job, and could not get hired. My best friend told me that she had just got hired at Ross, so I went down there and got a job with her. I worked my first job there for 3 months. I ended up having to quit because I was still in high school, and they would keep us until 10:30 or sometimes later to clean up the store. My mom did not like that at all.

  1. I absolutely love receiving flowers from someone who cares about me. I love seeing them and they really make my day so much better. I love having the floral scent fill up my small studio apartment. I especially love roses. I received lilies last week, and although I thought they were so beautiful, they kind of smelled like hot dogs, and it threw me off for the week.

That was actually much harder than I intended it to be. I thought it would be easy to go on and on about myself. I'm sure that I have been humbled over the years, and this daunting task would have come with ease when I was younger. I hope other will post as well, and have fun with it!

Let me ask you something! What is your sign?
I would say Scorpio, but I have some doubts about it.
Another thing: Your content here in Steemit is really interesting to me, because I'm writing a monography about the psychology area!Hello @beemillz! You made an awesome post right here! It shows that you have a developed self-knowledge capacity.

I'm a Gemini, so all over the place, and proud of it!!! Thank you for reading my posts, I started following you so I can read your work as well.

Thanks for sharing! I might do one too in the future. Im still only new here.

Ps. Back To The Future is the best. I wish I had a DeLorean

With the flux capacitor!!

Only if it can get to 88 miles per hour though! haha

welcome!

Thanks!! It was alot of fun, can't wait to read more like these!

Thank you for sharing such an extensive post about yourself. A lot of interesting things :)

I like talking about myself LOL

Welcome! Such a shame that these young ones don't know who the Wu-Tang Clan is... :(

Preach!!! This is something parents should be passing down to future generations!

Thanks for sharing, cool to see people from across the world that share something with you. Did you do something agains the scoliosis?

I was born with scoliosis

Awesome blurb, Great to see good writing and you have some awesome things going n in your life. I too am a 90's child and love everything about it. Im more into grunge and alternatives but who can forget Wu Tang?

Now I have to learn how to edit my work!! I found so many mistakes after publishing it, yeeeeeeee!

I just read a long post about the death of Kurt Cobain a few days ago on here. There was information I didn't even know about. I was too young to understand mental illness at that point. I have a soft spot for all the great bands of Seattle as well.

Ha yes editing gets us all, English is a strange language :) I read a similar post on the Death of Kurt the other day, and his demise into drugs and depression, I think it was in the popular section. Such a great read and insight into the things that were never published

It's an interesting concept to forward personal facts without being prompted by an actual question. You said you found it to be a little harder than expected. I think it would prove the same for most.

Ps. Facebook is the pox. Just saying. I agree with you there.

I encourage you to do it too, so I can see what else we have in common, besides loathing the facebook
