Have you ever played any of those highly addictive MMORPG games like World Of Warcraft, Guild Wars, Black Desert or 9 Dragons perhaps? Games were you get placed in a virtual world and you start off with nothing but a wooden stick and some tattered rags for clothing with your main goals being to level up, get gear and become the strongest, dominating your enemies with your overpowered spells, smashes, stuns and god like AOE's, but as Peter Parker's uncle Ben quoted in the movie Spiderman "With great power come great responsibility" achieving all of this god like powers is much easier said than done and you end up sitting hours upon hours doing tedious questing and joining raid party's with fellow players in the hopes of farming gear or whatever drops may cross your path.
With all of this in mind, you stay determined, focused and nothing is going to stop you from achieving the greatness you deserve, you eventually start to lose track of time and the virtual world starts creeping into your reality, some of you tend to get so caught up that you lose your jobs, some even lose their marriages yet you stay determined until you reach your ultimate goal and you have earned the respect of your fellow players. Something that I failed to mention earlier which is also vital for your success is in-game currency, be it gold, silver, diamonds or whatever in-game currency is being used by the game you're playing. You cannot achieve success without earning some sort of currency because good gear, spells, mounts and just about everything in the game world is traded for this currency and you make millions and even billions of this currency during your adventures.
So the point that I am trying to get across my friends is what is it that separates the virtual world from our current reality? surely if you can achieve success in the gaming world you can most certainly achieve it in the real world? I mean you started off with nothing but a stick and a few rags and yet you still manage to earn all that gold and get stronger. So why are so many people able to achieve riches and wealth in the gaming world very easily yet in reality they suck at it? People tend to take life to seriously, always listening to that inner voice in your heads telling you that you can't do certain things and that you are not worthy of success but that's not true, you are worthy!! you need to envision your success, start working towards it, be determined and stay focused but most importantly stop listening to that voice in your head that keeps holding you back. Life is like a massive game and it is how you play this game that counts and it is the choices that you make in this game of life that will determine how successful of a person you will become.
I've played WoW for while and it can be really addicting.
Its very addictive, and i would be still playing it if i didn't channel my addition elsewhere , but i guess for some people it's a way to leave all the hustle and bustle and stress of the real world behind, a start a new life in world within a world. Awesome if you really think about it :-)
Yep, so true..
