Our sweet princess named Adara was recently Spayed...

She seemed to have a traumatic experience of having surgery and being left to stay overnight. Waking-up that way, I can't even imagine. Poor thing...I know she was abandoned before we adopted her, so I was hoping she didn't feel alone like that.
I have to say since she came home she has become MORE affectionate, and she was pretty affectionate, to begin with. She of course, however, could be trying extra hard to work us to get that pesky cone off of her neck...
When she came home she just wanted to be as close to us as possible. We were and still are a form of her comfort. The first night home she slept on my chest almost the entire night. She then slept on my legs like seen above, or somehow on my husband or I. Usually she'll cuddle up with us and end up at the end of the bed or between us. By the second day of having her home, she seemed to be spunky enough to try to jump up on everything again. We were worried she would her herself, but thankfully she didn't. Last night she decided to go on my side of the bed and get comfortable...
Oh yeah...she knows she's spoiled...
We woke up to find her stitches almost completely ripped out, and it has only been a week! As we both freaked out a little, the vet said that it was just the scar tissue and she is healing OK. A bandage and a wrap around her now and she'll have that pesky collar off within a few days! THANK GOD! And there was much rejoicing...!

She even got a special treat of a bit of boiled beef this week, a new treat for her! Usually, she'll get a little bit of boiled chicken as a treat, but she was extra excited for this treat. We sent and continue to her lots of love and healing energy, and it seems to have helped. She is spoiled, but she is worth it!
It is the saddest thing for me to see an animal in pain. I hope she recover quickly.
She's doing a lot better today, thank God!
