Well yes, it's possible!
With current Social platforms panicking left and right Steemit / Dtube and other upcoming Social Reward Platforms will become very big in the near future.
So When I first began on Steemit it was interesting, but I instantly saw the flaw in the platform! Or so I thought, turns out i was wrong. I placed Steemit in the category of Follower base totally forgetting that even if I earn only $0,50 - $2 per post I would be able to turn a significant profit in the future.
Although at the time I stopped posting on Steemit for a couple of months, not focused on it at all, because i felt i put to much of my time and effort into making my posts for little in return, and after awhile not realizing that Steemit had gone x5 in value, it was only after I realized the potential that I turned back to Steemit and decided to post again.
(So yes I lost previous potential income) But not really because Steemit will grow in the future how do i know this?
Facebook is messing up big time they have introduced new algorithms in connection to adding certain amount of people, groups, getting flagged results in an instant block of your account to post on their social media platform. For a certain amount of time. Also, the Ads are seeing big decline at this time resulting in Sellers leaving. Last I heard big funds were lost by advertisers when advertising on Facebook a friend of mine even mentioned that he lost money while he did not even advertise anything, and he was not given back his money so that I call Theft!
Youtube is becoming more and more of an ass-hole yes! That's the perfect word to describe them, their ridiculous guidelines and making it practically impossible for smaller channels to even grow these days, all of this only took them 3 years time to fuck it up. It is clear that Youtube and Facebook are pretty much owned by the same owners, and it's not who you think it is!
As a result of all of these messed up situations in mainstream social platforms, and trying to silence social sharing, people will begin to look elsewhere. What better place than Steemit right? :)
Well, I love to make posts and putting my energy into it, its fun, can be painful for my fingers, because usually I make a post hours before actually posting it, and I come back to it to check it, and adjust it if needed afterwards. So there is a lot of possibilities with Steemit lets do the math.
Now let's make one thing clear I love posting especially "Chart" related or "Spiritual" Topics that's my jam! But well i do like to earn me some crypto's, as I'm sure we all do!? Right? RIGHT? :)
So on an average day now I earn about: $4,59 per post according to Steem Supply
Well considering I earned about $0,10-$0,50 Daily beforehand when i first started.
Heck yeah I am happy with it!!
So understanding that there will be an exponential growth on Steemit in the near future we can conclude that my income would be the following:
Price of STEEM/SBD: $5,00
Revenue per Post: $4,59 x $5,00 = $22,95 Daily
Price of STEEM/SBD: $10,00
Revenue per Post: $4,59 x $10,00 = $45,90 Daily
Price of STEEM/SBD: $15,00
Revenue per Post: $4,59 x $15,00 = $68,85 Daily
Price of STEEM/SBD: $20,00
Revenue per Post: $4,59 x $20,00 = $91,80 Daily
So coming to that realization it just made me think holy shit $100 Daily for doing something that I love to do! I'll take it!
Many people potentially could turn it into a reliable income and stop working altogether although I don't advise it! I def will not be quitting work until I have about 100K-200K in Capital.
But it certainly is a nice prospect to be looking forward to!

Do you think SBD will eventually return to ~$1USD?
It is higher than 1$ for almost 2 months now. I Don't think it will crash to 1 $ in the3 near future
True, but its possible in this kind of a volatile market, but i think what @cdubendo is trying to get at is to buy cheap sell high ;) But i think considering Steemit isn't even close to mainstream that we should consider $5 very cheap at this time. I'm sure by the end of this year it will go towards $14-$20
These things surely are possible so very likely in a sense but it would mean Bitcoin would need to Drop 50%-70% or more for again a bloodbath to occur in the market + additional Steemdollar sell off's
So yes its possible but atm SBD will soon return back to $12 it seems
I need to get back into it myself.
Been busy getting my business off the ground, but now I have a little time to devote to Steemit again.

Just like I love entertaining people in the guise of my main role model, Elvis, I can't believe people pay me when I enjoy it so much, I also love blogging/vlogging and I can't believe I've found a platform that pays me for my hobby. I tell content creators to join Steemit everyday and have a feeling 2018 is going to see huge gains here. All the best to my Steemit family in 2018!

I did take out some of my SP because i had bills to pay and didn't wanna sacrifice my investments atm so in time i will again build that up. :) and yes true i do participate though :) but looking to do that more in the coming weeks, bit busy with investments, its killin me :D :P
I hear you... about 2 months ago when SBD were under $1.00 I had to do the same. One problem you have is you're blogging into a saturated market... There's a ton of established names doing the same thing... But I'n confident if you stay with it, you'll set yourself apart.
I have a simple 2 part business plan that has never failed me. 1) Find out what the other guy is doing and do it better. 2) Find out what he isn't doing and do it first!

Damn, nice rich! well i'd be happy with 5$ - $20 daily if i ever get to a place where i earn $50 - $100 i couldn't be asking for more! im a humble man :D
When SBD's were up around $12-$14 I was hitting $650-$850 a day on a good day!
