One virture that every leader needs to become successful and good manager of human and material resources is integrity.
source
The webster English dictionary defines integrity as the quality or state of being of sound moral principle, uprightness, honesty and sincerity.
Integrity explained from the root word " integers" meaning the whole, has to do with completeness.
Thus, inferring that, just as partial obedience is no obedience, partial integrity is no integrity. It must be the whole of your life, motives, speech, actions.
source
Integrity has to do with keeping to standards, it all begins from the mind,it is a product of who truly you are. Integrity is standing out and standing with the truth at all times.
Take note " if you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything"
source
Integrity required the following:
Accountability:- is the ability to check that we do what we say we do.
Competence:- is the ability to do something well or effectively.
Ethics:- as behaving with honour and public purpose.
Character:- is the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual.
source
It is choosing your thoughts and action based on value rather than perceived gain.
Integrity is not something you show others. It is how you behave behind their back.
Do what is right not what is easy.
