Very detailed article, great job! Agates are the most treasured for beach combers here on the shores of Lake superior too. I have found amethyst, jasper, fossils and even a fossilized fish tooth. There's tons and tons of granite and quartz here too. This article definitely deserved more upvotes so I've gone ahead and upvoted a more recent article of yours!

Well -- I think it's a fossilized fish tooth. It took me about a week of thinking about what it was, and then I was watching some fishing videos and saw the size of the teeth on some of these fish and it hit me. I'll have to take pictures!

@bitfiend I bet you're right! That's very cool. I'm hoping to one day find a shark's tooth on the coast. A fossilized one would be awesome!
