Lost in a sea of despair
Dragged along by a current of anxiety
A hand cuts through
Elfin but strong
Naïve yet resolute
Floating alone in dark space
Bombarded with violent asteroidal thoughts
A light shines through
Afar but pacifying
Indistinct yet piercing
Buried six foot under
Consumed by maggots of void & barrenness
A gush of air seeps through
Chilly but vitalizing
Tainted yet pure
Trapped in a burning furnace
Scalded by the heat of unforgiving hate
A stream of water trickles through
Measly but soothing
Warm yet quenching
Spiraling in a tornado
Suffocated under the pressure of deprecating glares
An anchor slips through
Rusted but trustworthy
Unbound yet deep rooted
Amidst this mayhem called life
A miniscule spark of optimism is ablaze
With a vow to luminate
With a vow to assuage
With a vow to shine for an eternity
I humbly bow down & surrender to you
Take charge of the reigns as I am yours to rule
