The Black Lives Matter Global Network Mourns the Death of Erica Garner:
We are saddened and enraged by the death of Erica Garner yesterday morning. Her father, Eric Garner, was murdered at the hands of the New York Police Department on July 17, 2014 as he cried out over and over “I can’t breathe.” Our hearts mourn for and with the Garner/Carr family, and we celebrate Erica’s life and work. Her beautiful, powerful, loving, genuine spirit will continue to inspire us.
Let's hope Black Lives Matter will work on all the Black on Black murders in our country starting 2018. Another just last night in Camden,NJ. Please start doing something to make YOUR communities safe for the law abiding citizens you have left.
