Cool perspective on this topic @rok-sivante... Here are our thoughts:
- The devil is portrayed very much like a fictional character with horns and a tail... However, the initial introduction of the devil came from within Bible scripture. And in scripture, the devil (Satan) is not a horned creature, he is an actual man, an angel who was cast out of heaven... I think this false portrayal is the kind of thing that makes people laugh at him, take him less than seriously
- As you pointed out, a deal with the devil himself. Well now if you are going to believe that the devil is real and that you can sell your soul, then you are also believing that God is real, because what would be the catch of selling your soul (there's always a catch). Thus, one would have to think quite wisely in a situation such a this.
- Your'e right. Good and Evil is within us! The decisions we make and the way we choose to live our lives separate distinctions between good and evil. Also, there is good and evil in the things of this world, not just the people and their decisions...
