Friday Night Wine Time

in #life4 years ago (edited)

It's been a long week. You know? When the days just seem to draaaag on for no reason. It's been no less or more busy than other recent weeks, it's just felt like Friday was never going to arrive. Well it did! We survived another week!

We decided to try a wine we haven't had before. Adventurous, I know!! We're generally creatures of habit, and stick to the wines we like. We do like a good Barrossa wine, so picked this one up to have a go at it.

Teusner - The Gentleman Cabernet Sauvignon2017.

Wow! This wine had great manners! Smooth, full of dark fruity character, a hint of chocolate, and had a long and gentle spiced finish. Mrs. MJ scored it a 4 out of 5, which means she really enjoyed it.

This little beaty out of South Australia was wellnworth its pricetag, amd delivered better than some of the more "premium" wines we've experienced. Price doesn't always mean quality.

There really is only one rule of wine: If you like it and enjoy drinking it, then, for you, that is a good wine.

Have a great weekend, and stay safe!

Ahh those long days/weeks/months/years. Just remember that time lumbers on no matter ;D

How did you know you would like the stuff you currently like if you hadn't tried them before? XD

Yay for nice endings to the work week :)

This is true...we don't often try new, and when we do find something we like, we usually move in very small circles and pick similar wines from the same region... or study the wine up online before deciding to try or not.
