Having grown up with and being married to addictive personalities...it took me a lot of years to get past the resentment...exhaustion...anger...and see in those around me the humanness...but...as I have learned...I'm not responsible for them...I need to keep boundaries or it will take my soul away as well...
Its obvious you know how to give but not let it take...
Well said @bobreedo and you are so right about having to have boundaries and how we should not be responsible for other peoples lives. I learned that lesson the hard way and I will perhaps talk about that in another blog.
Sorry to hear you had to go though life with addictive personalities, that must have been very tough. But you are still here and going strong it seems.
