Ghost Towns

Hello.
Last time I talked about the wild and sparsely populated place of our planet.
In addition to small places where pristine nature has been preserved, untouched by civilization there are many more places that civilization has left, strange original countries, anomalous zones.
All unusual attracts, sometimes frightening and always fascinating.
Ghost towns are places where life used to boil, society developed, movement and development took place, but today only a frozen image of former grandeur is observed, which has been destroyed by time.
Mystery always causes genuine interest.

Detroit - former greatness

In the recent past - this is the largest industrial center in the US, in this city there were factories of a large American troika of automakers. Life in the city was boiling, people had a stable job. It seemed that this will always happen, but the global crisis and increased competition in the automotive market forced the automobile corporations to close production in the city and the engineering industry in Detroit finally ceased to exist.
Corporations moved their jobs to China and Mexico.
Lost people gradually moved to other places and in the city there were only those who do not have money to move or those who do not want to leave the city for personal reasons. Streets and houses have come to desolation, many are dilapidated, real estate in the city is very cheap, but there are not any people who want to move there.
However, Detroit has a chance to become an industrial city again. January 14, 2017 there was an international motor show, and Trump solemnly promised to return to America the status of an industrial power.

Oradour-sur-Glan

This ghost town is a monument to the victims of fascism.
In June 1944, men, women and children were shot and burned alive in this small French town.
So they did not restore this settlement, it remained destroyed for a reminder of the war - an inhuman machine of fascism.

Pripyat

The catastrophe that occurred in this small town caused the whole world to flinch and see what the consequences of the accident at the nuclear power plant could be.

In this town the population was very young, there the old people practically did not live, because all the inhabitants of this young city came from different places of the USSR to work at the nuclear power plant, the city was specially built for them.

The tragedy took place in the spring of 1986.
At the nuclear power plant there was a powerful explosion of the reactor, in the first hours of the disaster the authorities did not inform people about the catastrophe and they were unsuspecting about the deadly danger and hurried to work, taking children to kindergartens and schools.

Soon the city was completely evacuated, nothing to take with it was not allowed because of the danger of contamination of things with radioactive substances.
The city with comfortable wide blocks, apartments and all the benefits of Soviet life people left, not having time to grab household appliances, toys, things.
The city and a large area around it were completely evacuated and closed to ordinary people due to high levels of radiation. There was formed a large forbidden zone in which you can not just get into it.
To get rid of a high level of radioactivity has not been possible so far.
In the city there are still no people, but nature dominates, there are periodically appear only adventurers who are attracted by danger. About the band are many different horror stories about mutants living there. In fact, there are no mutants there, and the danger comes from objects and structures that are contaminated with radiation.

In China, there are several empty ghost towns. Empty avenues and streets, high-rise buildings and cultural objects in which there are no people. China built these cities for the resettlement of rural residents, but the relocation has not happened yet and the cities are empty.
