you are so right. I actually live in Vancouver and it just happened to us before we left for Mexico to do my cancer treayment. Not sure if you saw that or not in my blogs. Antway on disability and it was our old car not worth much so to be honest I left it there. The cost was !40.00 bucks plus 20.00 a day after two days. I cannot afford that so walked away. The thing that pissed me off was it was not a cop but a city employee. Themeter was broke after I paid. was full no more money could go in. I left a note on meter and dash. No matter they took it. I agree totally with you. Some day it will change I hope.

Wow, very sorry to hear of your troubles, but not at all surprised that you were abused that way.
Broken equipment apparently is no excuse. The city employee was "just doing their job." The system is designed to screw people.
I too hope for change, the sooner the better. My thoughts on bringing that about have changed radically over the years, and I now just try to ignore it all to the extent possible and to develop good things that will be of value to others in the world.
