A DAY IN THE LIFE // Donuts, Huntington Beach and Sushi Bowls☀️🌊

in #life7 years ago

Hey Guys,

Happy Sunday! I hope you all are having a great day so far. Today was an AWESOME day and I wanted to share it with you.

This morning I slept in until around 11:00AM. It was so nice to let my body sleep until it was fully rested. After waking up, my boyfriend and I decided to go out and have a full day of adventure. We started out the day by going to a vegan donut shop in Huntington Beach, California. We don't normally indulge and get donuts but we had heard about a donut shop called The Donuttery that had a variety of Vegan donuts and decided to try it out. We got a box full of all kinds of different Vegan flavors including maple bars, cinnamon buns, coconut maple, glazed, and apple fritter donuts. The donuts were definitely very delicious and reminded us of our childhood when we used to have regular donuts. However, we do not like to indulge in Vegan donuts for breakfast on a regular basis because we have noticed that after having donuts for breakfast we feel unsatisfied and malnourished because of all of the sugar.

After getting donuts, we decided to go to the dog park in Huntington Beach with our pup, Coco. It was so fun to walk along the beach and put our feet in the water while Coco was running around with the other dogs. It was a beautiful day: clear skies, about 85 degrees and sunny! After walking along the beach, we decided to grab lunch at a Vegan restaurant in Huntington Beach called Vegan Nirvana. Luke got a plate of stir fry vegetables and tofu with white rice and I got "fake" fish street tacos. Their food was really yummy and their restaurant had good vibes.

After lunch, we decided to head to one of our favorite stores, REI. Luke wanted to look for some hiking pants and I wanted to look at yoga mats. We ended up leaving with a few shirts and a water bottle cap. We normally are not the type of people who like to leisurely go shopping however, REI is one of our favorite retail stores because they have an abundance of hiking, camping, cycling, yoga, and functional gear. On top of all of the great things that REI has to offer, we also get to bring Coco into the store with us!

After a fun, long day of adventuring out and about, we decided to come home and make a nice dinner at home and relax. For dinner tonight we made one of our favorite recipes, Sushi Bowls. Sushi Bowls are one of our favorite dinners to have because we both love white rice and avocados. This dinner is super simple to make and light and fresh on your stomach. To make Sushi Bowls you need Thai Jasmine Rice, avocado, cucumber, furikake and soy sauce.
