Some say life gives us responsibilities. But does it?
This is not a conundrum, like the chicken and the Egg.
The truth is, you have responsibilities because you were, are, and will be able to respond. Just speak the word Responsible. Ree-sponse-eh-bull. Response-able. It's almost like the word is a compound word of Response and Able, but just to let the concept go further, the compound word takes Response and Ability, and merged them together to form Responsibility. It is your ability to respond that makes you responsible, for better or worse.
My point is, life never dumps responsibilities on you. Instead you were able to respond, and thus you have responsibility.
Food for thought.
As always, good luck and good fortune to all my fellow Steemians. Thank you for reading.
One of my Dad's favourite musings. He loves getting to the root of a word and then asking if we actually live up to it's definition.
