Today we had a team building curling clinic, with 12 ladies.
We started with coffee and cake, and When we we All There we went to the Ice rinck.
First the teacher told us some history about the game, and the rules. After that we started to practice.
We played 3 games and won!!! We played with 2 teams off six woman.
Curling has a image to be simple but let me tell you its not!!
You have to broom the ice and the stone can go further than it Will do if you dont broom the ice.
What a great clinic, sure doing it again !!

I love watching curling and it must have been fun.Probably more fun watching as I am sure it is not easy.

And you Cannon touch the ICE other than with your feet, well i can tell you i did hit the ICE more than once, and i only had tea.....
Lol, only had tea.I have to admit it that I have watched it often and would love to try it out.I would be on all fours though as I am not used to ice.The footwear has to be different in order to slide.
I had a real curling phase in my 20's...
In Canada, they had these shelfs at each end with a tissue box and you put your beer there too..
How can I not love a sport where they think about your drippy nose form the cold and let you drink to improve your game!!
It's like chess, but on pebbly ice!

Its like a chess game with the trying to hit that other stone or how can i enter the dolly, it is just so small off a sport overhere not much money is available. There are just 300 people playing this game in the whole off Holland. Not much money to be earned.

We had only tea, i bet if i had two beers i would have thrown myself towards the circle and Dolly with that dropping nose on the ICE LOL
2 beers is what makes it fun!
Plus blocking shots. and actually curling the rock around blockers and having it land on the button! HuZzAH!

Curling is sooooo neat! I have never heard of someone that tried it and didn’t love it. Good exercise and laughs too.
It does seem like a sport that is going away even in Canada. Maybe real estate is too expensive or console games are kidnapping the youth? Such a great pastime that should be preserved and enjoyed.

Well the instructor was on the olypiic trainingsteam, and he loved the teams from Canada and the usa, here only 300 people play from all dutchies so its a little sports among all the others so little no money is available.
And indeed cant imagine people not liking this, i laught my pants off.

This game is curling and its difficult but fun AND COLD!!

Haha het was zo moeilijk , er zijn maar 300 leden in heel nl! En een pro team dat heeft meegedaan bij de laatste spelen. Je mocht het ijs niet raken ja alleen met je voetzolen AHUM ik lag na de eerste worp al languit 😂😂
