The weather in our country is fantastic! And the holiday is not even started. So everybody is very happy.
The weather and the festivities in Scheveningen, The Hague, for the Volvo Ocean Race are great and alot off people come to the Hague.
The North Sea is quite favorable as a living environment for the jellyfish. The nutrient-rich coastal strip, consisting of many plankton and seaweed, makes it perfect for jellyfish.
But in the water nowwe have a plague.
A plague with jellyfish. Mainly the wind direction is the factor for the flushing of jellyfish. Especially in easterly winds, when the wind of the land blows up the sea (aflandig), the chance is greatest on jellyfish. In the case of offshore wind, an underflow develops, the current consisting of, among other things, jellyfish, shells and objects that depend on the current.
So Thats Whats happening here now so When going on the water you have to Watch out!!

I went windsurfing last week. I noticed there was quite a lot of jellyfish in the water too! Luckily until I noticed this I hadn't been stung yet :) I guess the wetsuit saved my day!
Did you visit Scheveningen during the finish of the Volvo Ocean Race? I'm a big sailing fan but unfortunately, I couldn't make it!
