"Your circle should want to see you win. Your circle should clap loudly when you have good news. If not, get a new circle."

This morning, I had an amazing chat with steemit creator @LarryMorrison. We talked about a variety of things but one of the things in particular I wanted to touch on in a post today. This subject is the importance of your circle. In the world we live in, there are so many different people with so many different viewpoints. While it is so important to value, respect and appreciate other's viewpoints, it is also important to understand the place of where these viewpoints are coming from. We should be surrounded by people that love us, respect us and want to see us grow. If your group of friends is not doing that, maybe it is time to take a step back from those relationships.
Any success in life that I have, is not just credited to me and my actions but credited to my family and friends who have offered love and support throughout my lifetime. My circle has inspired me to go after my dreams and believe that anything in this world is possible. If it wasn't for them, perhaps, I could've taken a different path. That being said, if they didn't encourage me to go after what I wanted, I could've also taken a different path. Hence, choose your friends and choose them wisely.
It has been said, "You become like the top 5 people you spend the most time with. Choose carefully (author unknown)." I very much agree with that. If people around you work to grow and encourage you to grow, you will grow. The same will happen on the flip side. So when surrounding yourself by people, make sure they are coming from a good place and always rooting for you. If not, take a step back and reevaluate where the friendship lies and what changes need to be made...and maybe, just maybe it's time to get traded to a different team!
Happy we are on the same team Brittany, great post!
Couldn't agree more! Thank you for inspiring me and having a talk with me on my favorite subject!
