This is my niece Mia just before her 3rd birthday . On March 7th, 2016 she hadn't been feeling well so her mom took her to their pediatrician. There they learned they needed to go to more advanced hospital an hour away to confirm results of a blood test. After the results were confirmed they had to take a 4 hour ambulance ride to a specialized childrens hospital. There she was officially diagnosed with leukemia, high risk B cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia to be exact. It was an entire month before they were able to return home.
Fast forward 1 year to now, after countless stays in the hospital, helicopter transports, blood draws, neutropenic diets, steroid and chemo injections, and 20 spinal taps, Mighty Mia is in remission.
Mia's picture being shown at Times Square for Children's Cancer Research Fund.
It has been a very long and difficult journey so far and the end is not near..... but the light at the end of the tunnel can be seen. The hospital visits are less, her hair is finally starting to grow back, she is able to go outside and play, she is finally able to continue dance class. She is able to just be a little girl.
I tell you this story because the love, courage and strength of this family is to pure not to share.
Thank you for taking the time to read the story of Mighty Mia. Proceeds from this post will go to them.
Please feel free to resteem.

Sending my thoughts, healing energy and sunshine ☀️
I am registered at DKMS Germany https://www.dkms.de/de/spender-werden
for a few years.
There are other organizations like https://bethematch.org where people can register so patients find their life-saving marrow donors and provide support throughout the transplant process.
I guess the family knows about that for long. Of course!
I mentioned it for everyone else because I think everybody should be registered. That doesn't hurt!
She will be in my thoughts, and hopefully that is it. It builds a lot of strength having to endure that much trauma as a child. I am wishing her the best health from now on. :) Namaste
Thank you so much.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now
and at the hour of our death. Amen
Jesus, Mary & Joseph.
We love you.
Save souls.
