Taj Mahal to be claimed as Lord Shiva Temple, Will it remain a Wonder? - A Controversial Theory

in #life7 years ago (edited)

Beauty of Taj Mahal has been delighting millions of visitors not only Indians but Worldwide Tourists. That is why it got the place in Seven Wonders of the World.

From past many years we have been looking at Taj Mahal as the symbol of love, which has been built by a Mugal Emperor Shahjahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumjat. One of the major reasons why it's told to be prohibited from keeping any statue of Taj Mahal at your home. Since it contains Graves of both King and Queen.

It seems like the new conservatory over Taj Mahal will force us to look The Taj in a different manner, Whereas many people have been saying that Taj Mahal is actually use to be a Temple of Lord Shiva. There are many evidences that suggest the same with theories and now this conservatory has made it's doors to Indian Government as well.

What is the Theory Behind It?

1. Taj Mahal Womb is not a Mugal Symbol

This has been mentioned and come to light that the Womb you see on Taj Mahal is actually belong to Hindu Temples since Mugal building doesn't suppose to have a womb over any building according to their history and religion, however this cannot be the only proof that Taj is not specifically built in the memory of Mumjat.

2. The Over Top Symbol

This is much controversial theory according to me, If you look closely to the over top Symbol of Taj, It actually represents a Kalash (Urn) with Coconut on top of it with Mango Leaves in the Middle. Which is a holy symbol of Hinduism, has been used from many years in maximum hindu religion ceremonies. This kind of symbol has never used in any other religion.

3. Hindu Symbols all over the Building

If you ever been to Taj Mahal, you might have been delighted with the stone work been done all over the building. But the major theory is that stone work which we all admire includes plants, flowers and snakes. These type of symbols has been always seen on Hindu Temple building which are highly unlikely to be on a Mugal Structure. Majorly Snakes has always been a symbol of Lord Shiva.

4. Well in Taj Mahal

It is also a statement made by Temple claimers that If it was built as a memory of Mugal Queen, Why is there a well in Taj Mahal? Now, as we see any historical hindu structure being a temple, We always see a well along with it. according to them wells are made in Hindu Temples in the history in the purpose of providing water to the people living near by and to those who come visit Lord Shiva Temple as water has always been a part of Lord Shiva Worship ceremony.

5. Mugal Graves in Taj Mahal

The theory among these graves is also telling a different story. It being told by Temple claimers that These graves were built into Taj Mahal after the building was already there from many years. It is also very suspicious that people are not allowed to enter the room where real graves are built but we can only see the replica made later above the actual room.

Some say that it is to protect the purity of the graves and some say it's because to prevent beautiful stone work. Whatever the reason, when ever you visit Taj Mahal, It is not allowed to be in the room with actual Mugal Graves.

6. Why Most of the Rooms are Locked?

This is also a question which people has been asking for many years, Why most of the rooms are always kept locked and not available to visitors. When you enter Taj Mahal, you are allowed to be in the Lobby and when you look around to see the beauty, you will also notice most of the rooms being prohibited to visit.

Some say that these rooms are being locked and prohibited to visit because there are many statues of Hindu Gods including Lord Shiva.

7. Is the name Taj Mahal or Tejo Mahalaya?

According to Temple claimers the real name of "Taj Mahal" was actually "Tejo Mahalaya". Since the theory is based upon Taj Mahal being a Temple, There has been a story around of it being a Temple of Lord Shiva thus the real name being Tejo Mahalaya. It is also being said that over time the name miss-interpreted reaching to by calling it Taj Mahal. We know according history, this has happened with many placed in India.

We don't know and i guess India has always been a country of controversy. Now, i am not claiming it to be Taj Mahal or Tejo Mahalaya. I am on neither side, I just thought to give a light on this interesting controversy.

Although i would love to hear your thoughts on this, will Taj Mahal be still a wonder if it get announced as people claiming to be Tajo Mahalaya, please leave comments on the section below.

There are two kinds of people in the world.
Those who have seen the Taj Mahal and love it and those who have not seen the Taj and love it.
It is a totally different creativity I am talking about. A Taj Mahal... just watching it on a full moon night, and great meditation is bound to arise in you. Or the temples of Khajuraho, Konarak, Puri - just meditating on them and you will be surprised that all your sexuality is transformed into love. They are miracles of creativity. They were not created by pathological people, they were created by those who had attained.

@smileplease I guess you are right, but everything in the world is connected to human emotions, when you play with their emotions and try to alter it... Results Varies...

Thats a new mystery, if it comes in the eyes of media than the bad politics start on this topic. Btw thanks for sharing. Started following you, want to read such good contents on history of india as a indian.

So much information! I have been to the Taj Mahal and while I found it mysterious with all the locked rooms and no-photography rule for most parts, that's how I relate to it. Being Tejo Mahalaya changes everything for me 😯
