Hello!
I have two awesome daughters, aged 3 and 7, and today turned out to be an evening when I had to handle them alone. Mum and dad were away to meet brother's daughter and wifey had to go attend the clinic (she is @thecooldentist) - this meant I was the one who had to do the baby sitting.
It wasn't a piece of cake
So we started by watching the idiot box. Doraemon is something all kids love and the going was smooth. However, soon, the little demons started getting bored.
They then resorted to their personal devices - the little one on my second phone and the elder one on the her tab!
Little one, not even 3, knows how to use the smartphone. Including unlocking it and opening Youtube
Elder one hiding her face - found guilty - the tab is in her laps!
Toys? What's that??
Dinner had to be had so I decided to serve them home-made Pizzas
The Pizza base
Kids love cheese - you can never go wrong with this
All set for the oven
The end result - looks tasty, eh?
And this is what I made for the rest of us
The Pizza was a hit. Made another one. Everyone was happy in the end - bellies were full and sleep came naturally. At the time of writing this, both the demons are sleeping :-D
I am sure there are a lot of parents around here on Steemit - guys, how do you handle your little brats at home?
But don't you stay out most of the time? @thecooldentist should be writing about the time you're not around. You made it look fun and easy. I am sure it goes a lot deeper than this. :-D
ha ha .. yeah. i m out of town from 16-22 : it will be her turn then
have a 3 yr old at home and i know its not an easy do. At the time of replying the demon here is still watching rhymes on youtube
Thanks to Jio's unlimited data :-D
Looks like lot of fun except Doremon. Show them classic cartoons like Tom & Jerry, Swat kats, Dextor's lab, Flinestones, etc
Tried - seems difficult. There is something about that big robot!
