Today, the catholic diocese round Nigeria came out in a peaceful and prayerful protest in solidarity of the killing of two of its priests, Rev Fathers Joseph Gor and Felix Tyolaha, and 17 other parishioners in an early hour attack at St Ignatius Quasi Parish, Ukpor, Mbalom in Gwer West Local Government Council of Benu State
on Tuesday 24 April.
The Bishops were shocked by the dastardly acts of the Fulani herdsmen and disappointed by the lukewarm attitude of the government and the country’s security agencies, at curtailing the nefarious activities of these rampaging killers.
Catholics throughout the country thereby deemed it fit today to witness to the sanctity of life by actively participating today during the Rosary/Prayer procession protest march in all the Archdioceses and dioceses of the country, as directed by the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN).
So here in Portharcourt, Nigeria, priests, Rev. Sisters and lay faithfuls from different parishes gathered together in their mass in a peaceful protest led by the bishop of Port harcourt diocese, Most Rev. Camillus Archibong Etokudoh.

Meanwhile other lay faithful held their placad also in solidarity during the protest.

Furthermore, I can't exempt myself @calyxgal as I was also present during the peaceful protest to show my solidarity for the lost victims.
May their souls rest in the bosom of the Lord, Amen.

The theme of this protest was tagged " March for Life" because life is really precious and Sacred!!!! And "CANNOT" be taken for granted.
On this note, i urge the President of Nigeria, President Muhammed Buhari to take serious steps to curb the gruesome killings by the herdsmen and that government should take the protection of lives and properties as their primary responsibilities.
