Macro Mushrooms

    Howdy! I wanted to share a few more pictures I took of some awesome Mushrooms on my last excursions here in Sweden. I generally take a whole lot of photographs each time I go out in an effort to capture the beauty of the moment as best I can. I picked some of my favorites that I really hope you enjoy.

    In this post I wanted to focus on sharing some of the best pictures I had featuring the gills. The gills are the fleshy ribs usually on the underside of the caps. They are some of the most beautiful aspects of the Mushrooms in my opinion providing an asymmetrical sense of pattern and texture in uniformity.

    I also love the way some of the gills appear transparent at other times when the lighting conditions are just right! It really adds an extra dimension to the Mushrooms themselves.

    I love the way the light plays on each individual gill! The way the gills cast shadows really draws my eyes to the contrast provided in each individual gill pattern. The fleshy ribs of the gills makes for a great trim to the caps when seen from the right perspective!

    There is even beauty in the decomposition of the Mushrooms themselves. Mushrooms are in the business of decompostion... it's what they do! I thought wrapping this post up by capturing the final fleeting moments of beauty as these Mushrooms decay would be fitting! THERE IS A BEAUTY IN DEATH.

    I want to thank you for stopping by and taking the time to feast your eyes on some of the beauty I was blessed enough to capture in the moment! Thank you for stopping to take a moment with me to appreciate some of the small things that can bring us all a little more joy in our lives!

    Most of us pass on by these little miracles of creation and moments of beauty without taking notice in our busy lives! Mushrooms last but for such an extremely short period of time in their development that I find them to be more than perfect examples of
"Taking Time to Smell the Roses!"

There have been some advancements in the area of Mycology in that area. There is a guy named Paul Stamets on youtube. He has some very interesting lectures. The potentials are pretty amazing!
