RE: Impulse purchase of the weekend.. yes or no ?

I can't comment on the price or how they look because I don't know much about such trendy things :) But if it were me - cheapskate that I usually am - I'm fine with Made in China items too. If these were of a US or European brand and manufactured according to the specs demanded.

I'm more into the practical side (not "style"). It would be good if people, young and old alike, were to put on sunglasses/shades during certain times. My wife had to undergo two eye operations over the past 8 months due to glaucoma. She had rarely put on sunglasses over the decades. And living in a place that's often very sunny (Malaysia) with the glare and all, there's bound to be effects after years of this.

Take good care of your eyes, folks. When we are young, our body (including eyes) can take a lot of stress. But these will all add up. Putting on a pair of reasonable quality sunglasses will go a long way in helping to protect our eyes.

Sort:

Macular degeneration can be reversed! It involves some exercises, and an electric device. Dr. Edward Kondrot wrote two books I read a year or two ago, "Miracle Eye Cure?: Microcurrent Stimulation" and "Healing the Eye the Natural Way: Alternate Medicine and Macular Degeneration". Great stuff in them.

As you said, eyes can take a lot of stress but it does add up; doing these exercises when young can help your eyes last longer.

"when young"... A LOT of things which many of us, the older ones, didn't consider when we had age on our side. Myself included of course. Had taken all those things for granted, like they "would always remain the same". So we did essentially nothing. Or not near adequate.

Well, regret won't help to wind back the clock. The next best thing to do is to try preserve and improve what that I can do.
