Here we are a couple days before 2018...
I am sitting here pondering over the last 52 weeks and have found there have been many days lost to negative thinking.
Did I purposely allow those negative thoughts and behaviours in? Not intentionally.
I started out the year with a job and a house full of people, from there the people started to fade, as the relationships also began to crumble.
I asked myself time and again, what did I do wrong? Was I too honest?
Should I have allowed negative behaviours to overcome who I truly am?
No, what happens in someone else's life is not my choosing but theirs.
I have tried to be the shoulder to cry on.
I have tried to be the one who is always there.
I have tried to tell the truth to the best of my ability.
I have tried to show love in all that I do.
I can not help those who do not see the problem.
I can not help those who do not want change.
I can not make someone happy.
I can not make someone stay.
I can not do for you what I would not do for myself.
I can not keep going on that way.
This is just a rambling of the things that I have seen gone "wrong" in my life, and my hope to change the next years of my life because at the end of it all it is my choice to do what needs to be done to keep my path straight, if it does not fall into what you believe yours should be that is ok too because your path is for you to follow and mine is just that mine. So here I go into 2018 with a fresh mind and a fresh heart. WIthout the negatives of others or even my own for that matter, getting in my way. I am ready to be where I should have been all along and that is Right in the NOW...

Happy New Year!!! @davemccoy and yes my expectations for 2018 are very high! I will not allow anything but greatness in my life that is for sure and honestly just by giving #steemit a try, I am completely convinced everything goes UP from here!!! It has to!
:) keep the expectations low so they will always surprise you.... lots of stuff to learn, but its going better than my plan... Keep being you and I think you will find a tipping point soon... Anyways, nice to meet you @charisma777 and happy to be your friend :)

I completely hear you on this!....and perhaps the best thing about the passing of time is you get to put to bed an old year and start fresh with a new perspective in a new one.. Here's to 2018!
