Freedom according to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, is the quality or state of being free: such as
a : the absence of necessity, coercion, or constraint in choice or action
b : liberation from slavery or restraint or from the power of another : independence
c : the quality or state of being exempt or released usually from something onerous
Well, there are so many examples of freedom. We all know the usual freedom from bondage, prison and oppression. There is also freedom from the stress of a particular stage of life. For instance, the feeling when you finally finish writing your exams and another when you finally pass. The freedom when the ceremony (like a wedding) you've been planning, finally comes to a successful end. The relief or freedom when you finally get married, when you finally have children. And then the freedom you feel when you are finally debt free or finally pay off an aggressive creditor.
Apart from all the above and others like them, there are other examples of freedom that some may consider hilarious.
Have you ever had an itch at a corner of your back that seems so difficult to reach and you finally locate an object that will enable you reach it comfortably. The moment you rub or scratch that itch...the feeling you get..hmm sweet freedom.
What of when your bladder is full and you run around waiting for a turn at the toilet or rushing to a lavatory or location where you can finally expel the urine. When you finally get to this non-embarasing location and eventually get to pee...that feeling you get when you finally empty your bladder. It's another kind of freedom.
Then when you've been on blacklist for over a year and finally get off the blacklist. Hmm...that is also freedom.
