Talk Ramadan and blessings contained in it will not be endless until whenever. Ramadan is a month in which all people are competing for rewards so that they get a high position in the sight of Allah.
Various ways were done in welcoming the holy month for Muslims this. Each region has its own tradition in welcoming the coming of Ramadan, the month revealed by the Quran as the last book to be the guide of every human life. The regions in Indonesia do have a very strong culture with something that can not be missed. Many also write about their respective regions, considering this way is most powerful to introduce a nation's culture to other nations. I also wrote about this, the way the Acehnese welcomed Ramadan. From now until now!
Usually, three or two days before the month of Ramadan, in Aceh is known as the day of hold. This day is filled with full activity. The most awaited is buying buffalo or cow meat. Inevitably every Acehnese people have to buy this meat. Not knowing rich or poor, the smell of meat must be smelled from the kitchen of every Acehnese home. The way to get meat is not necessarily unlawful, most people are already saving to buy at least a kilo of meat for their wife's children.
Day hold - a day of buffaloes usually lasts two days - the impact across the whole of Aceh. Two days of cutting and cooking of meat and one last day for meals or hospitality. In addition to cut the buffalo is another culture in the day hold is to make a typical snacks of Aceh!
This is the most awaited, because it's only on the day just hold it! Another day is not not done but this is indeed the only characteristic of holding it. What is that?
Do you know Ketupat? Sticky rice? It's not far from either. Actually not much different from Ketupat, just a different way of packaging. It feels exactly the same as Ketan Ketanat!
Here it is, Lemang! Typical Aceh food on the day of the day. How to make it more difficult than Ketupat. Materials needed in making Lemang as follows:
1.sticky rice
2.salt
3.The young banana leaves
4.coconut milk
5.Bamboo
How to make it after mixing tetan, salt and coconut milk then put in bamboo that has been inserted rolls of young banana leaves first. Young banana leaf rolls are used to make sticky sticky rice with bamboo after ripe. Then burned to mature.
This dressy way of presentation is very diverse. In addition to eaten without the lemang comrades are usually eaten with glutinous tape. Again sticky rice? Glutinous tape that has been distributed for approximately two three days so delicious lemang friends.
For some people this is very dangerous, lemang and tape are both from sticky rice that can cause heat if consumed in excess. Not to mention on the day everybody will cook meat.
