Border Collies don't have a stop button!!! We had one and she lived until she was 12 I think. Sheba didn't know how to stop....she'd run until her paws bled. She had extreme focus and could catch anything....played hockey with the kids. She was a great dog. Super intelligence - she knew all the names for her toys and would get them on command.
This one is very proud and handsome. I'll bet his coat is soft like freshly washed hair. Great family dogs but they need A LOT of exercise and a firm but gentle leader.
This photo makes me miss Sheba. It's okay. She's three dogs ago but was very special.
Such a beautiful memories!! I think Sheba was really a wonderful dog and from your words I can understand she was really and special dog and very loved! My first dog (3 dogs ago also for me ^_^) was a shi-tzu, a little dog who thought to be a lion. She lived for 15 years and even if I lost her many years ago, every times I watch a shi-tzu it's really touching for me .
Dogs always leave a scar on our hearts.....and each one is so different. Shi-tzus are pretty cute.....my son had one. Do you have a dog now?
The one we had before Abbey, died in 2015. He was too young. He'd just turned 8 and got cancer in his spine. He was so amazing - an Australian Shepherd. My husband was heartbroken. I didn't want another dog but HAD to so we got Abbey., the giant teddy bear.
@johnjgeddes , my husband, wrote this poem about Levi
I don’t want Time to erase
Your sad face;
Hurt me
With absence
And be the hole in me
That shows
Part of me is gone.
John wrote this poem after Levi died March 25, 2015
I want to have it engraved in a stone for the garden. I'll have to see where I can have that done.
