Very good points. And like you, I am here because I love to read and write, and build connections. I am having fun. I hate seeing negative rants about Steemit meeting its demise, because I have nothing but optimism about its future.

Rant.. tirade.. diatribe.. invective... rebuke - i've read them all. I look at Steemit like this - I would never invest a TON of money because I don't get to see their financials, shareholder meetings, etc. SP is essentially a "junk bond" high risk and high yield. That said I am lending the company some money essentially so they can make this site better. Anyone who spends a lot of time on here as a hobby may want to consider some SP to support the platform.
