Started a new project over the weekend in the upstairs bathroom of my home. Beings the crypto market has not been the prettiest thing to look at, and or think about lately, I though what better way to keep my mind off things then to start a new project at home. I first started off by removing all the old baseboards in the bathroom and installing new ones. The task has not been easy but is easier then trying to pay someone an outrageous amount of money to do such a simple task.
Once I got the new baseboards on, I had to get the caulk out which ended up being the messiest task thus far. Then due to my good ole wife’s creativity we added some wood panels and a nice trim to the top, to make things look a little less plain. I am a lucky man because I personally think it was a great idea. Once we got everything else up we had to pull out the caulking gun again to seal everything. The caulking gun and I were becoming close, like John Wayne and his pistol in an old western movie.
I did lie about the caulking part of the job being the messiest part though. Pulling the toilet was the worst and messiest part lol by far. I had to completely remove the toilet in order to get new baseboards and wall panels behind it. This task was fairly easy but who really wants to open a sewer hole into there home realistically. But I must say when it was done the juice was worth the squeeze.
I got a coat of kills primer over everything, and will be finishing the bathroom tonight. The battle has been tough but definitely worth the hard work. Attempting as much work on my home has been the most feasible approach due to the financial aspect of everything. It has also been a huge learning curve, but at the same time offers a great amount of experience, and tools I do see myself utilizing in my future. I added a couple more pictures as well just to show the progress I have made up to this point. Hope you guys enjoy, and have a great week.
