My dialysis yesterday went well although I felt a bit of discomfort because I am already having cold sweats which means that more than enough water had been drawn out already from my body. I could feel it in my fingers and toes as they get wrinkled plus the hoarseness of my voice indicates just that. My eardrums also collapse inwards due to my brain's water content was diminished in the process.
That is what I wanted so that I would get a lower blood pressure when I get home which means that my heart won't get tired too. But my bp raises to about 140 systolic a day after my dialysis and goes up to 160 before my session because of the extra water in my system.
But my BP does crash sometimes about an hour after my being hooked-up sometimes during my meal and sometimes after my meal. So I have to counter that and the only way that I could get my hands on was to acquire Caffeine pills because I know that Caffeine makes the blood pressure rise by constricting the blood vessels. That is what I had done but still even with a nearly 1 gram of Caffeine already my blood pressure still drops to hell levels.
But at least I was able to survive my dialysis and now it just doesn't drop too much in the middle of the session. I just do not like it to drop while or after eating my meal and certainly not in the middle of the session. I can just accept quitting even if there is about 30 minutes before the intended end of treatment time or very good if there is still about 15 minutes more because at that point I am already nicely cleaned with my blood.
Yesterday's session was different, the renal nurse that should be taking a reading of our BP's didn't take our BPs in an hourly way as he was doing before. Had he checked my BP about one hour before the expected time of termination of treatment it would have been cut right then and there because I already can feel the low blood pressure. That event would prompt the nurses to just terminate my dialysis. So yesterday's treatment I should say went so well because my nurses didn't fiddle much about my dialysis settings.
