Rules For Success Ft. Steve Jobs

in #life7 years ago

I think Steve Jobs left a mark on our lives, and it’s likely that you have an iPad or an iPod or an iPhone, or maybe you watched a Pixar movie and were totally captivated by the imagination and vision of the producers and the directors. However, I believe that Steve Job’s biggest gift to us is actually his wisdom and words of inspiration, which we shared in his interviews or his speeches or interactions.

Being the richest man in the grave doesn’t matter to me. What matters to me is going to sleep feeling like we’ve done something wonderful..jpg

Steve Job’s said you should never start a company with the goal of getting rich; it should be about starting a company to make something you believe in. We should dream to make a difference, break down boundaries, and build ourselves beyond borders. We should ignite ideas to innovate incessantly and create for people where they can never create by themselves. Henry Ford said that if I asked people what they wanted they would have said faster horses, and that’s the beauty of going beyond wanting money and going beyond wanting fame. Going beyond wanting something that you actually craft something that involves people’s daily lives; that you actually create something that actually enhances someone’s human experience.

People respond to people who want to do more than gain for themselves. We’re attracted by selflessness, we’re attracted by renunciation, and we’re attracted by the quality of when people want to give rather than to take, want to share rather than keep, or want to serve rather than hold. Steve jobs said being the richest man in the grave doesn’t matter to me. What matters to me is going to sleep feeling like we’ve done something wonderful.

We all have hidden potential, and we all have a sacred space. Therefore’ we are not material beings having a spiritual experience but spiritual beings having a material experience. Actually, it’s like CS Lewis said, that you don’t have a soul, you are the soul and you have a body. He believed that our intuition was far more powerful than our inflect. When we actually become silent, we are calm within and we are able to hear clearly.

The only way to do great work is to love what you do, and your time is limited so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Albert Einstein said that everyone is a genius, but if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will spend its whole life thinking that it’s stupid. Rather than imitate and emulate we can actually create a unique occupation, a unique service to the world, a unique offering that can actually drive the difference in other people’s lives.

That’s why he said that the ones who are crazy enough to believe that they are crazy enough to change their world are the ones that do.
I really want you to be involved in this conversation as we think out loud together about our minds in this world. So please join the @dailydose community today and I look forward to hearing from you.

I interpret this statement differently. I think trying to do something that is far outside your natural skill set, interests, etc is analogous to the fish climbing the tree.

It's true to say that, and what I mean to help understand by quoting Albert Einstein is just like the fish that can't climb a tree, we should not imitiate and emulate others by trying to live life like others do. Rather, we should stick to what we are great at and grow our skills and knowledge as widely as we can in the field of choice. Otherwise, it would be the equivalent of a pilot trying to be a surgeon, or a doctor trying to be a lawyer (or a fish climbing a tree)
