Hey Steemians! How are you doing today?🙂
Have you ever wondered how the future will look like? How we are gonna look like 15-20 years from now?
More and more women nowadays resort to the help of plastic surgery to make themselves look flawless on the face and on the body, especially women. They don't want to live with any even small "flaws" as they think they have. People are trying to be in trend, chase the fashion and look like those girls on Instagram. Now, we all live in a "social media time", duck lips and heavy make up is considered now to be cool and special.I go on Instagram and these kind of girls is all I see there.
It's understandable when you got into an accident and the plastic surgery is a good way to fix the scars and imperfections, but when you are twenty years old and decide to do it simply because you want to "upgrade" your face and want your eyes bigger, nose smaller and lips plumper I think it's silly and not worth it at all.
There is no single person who got to look better after the plastic surgery than he/she was before. If you think it looks good now, trust me, eventually it will look only worse.I know, everyone wants to look beautiful but this is not the way to do it!
There are different standards of beauty in different countries. In some - girls with dark skin and plump lips are considered to beautiful, in others, for instance: Asian countries ( Japan,Korea and China) pale skin and small lips are ideal.
My country-Kazakhstan is eurasian country, the mentality lies between Asian and European, that is why there are no specific beauty standards. The tall or the short, pale or dark skin, blond or brunette. However there is some percent of girls and women in Kazakhstan who want to look more "western", they make a cut on their eyelids to make them look bigger and more open even though they're eyes are perfectly fine. Two of my cousins made it already 5-6 years ago.
(these are my sisters and I, 0 plastic surgeries still look okay😁)
Probably korean girls are the most famous ones in the world to do the plastic surgery. It is mostly due to the fact that society they live in require people to be pretty enough to even get a job in the company.Parents having a single child would encourage their kids to do this step which what they believe will give them a big step forward in their career and love life. But what happens in the end is that all Korean girls after plastic surgeries end up looking the same. The vivid example is the beauty pageant Miss Korea 2013 where the picture of all beauty contestants on the picture looked the same, it got viral in no time and made the whole world wonder about beauty standards of that country.
More and more people from China become clients of plastic surgery companies and more and more young Chinese girls go there in hope that they will later look more "western and different" from other Chinese girls, get a chance to stand out and have a bigger shot for the life they all dream about. The advertisement of these companies with pictures "before and after" can be seen almost on every corner even here in Hangzhou.
At least two of my European looking acquaintances seriously wanted to change their appearance, one of them even convinced me to go to the Chinese plastic surgery company with her and get a consultation.
Is it really necessary to rid of the "flaws" that make you YOU!?Are you sure you want to change everything that is who you are just because the fashion and trend tell you so?
What I think, all the little things we don't like about ourselves other people find adorable.I'm sure that in the near future model standards will be completely different making a natural beauty even if it's not "perfect" the biggest requirement in this business.
Natural beauty was, is and always will be valued more than this cliche "faces" that all look the same, because natural translates to real and real is better than fake. Don't let the plastic surgery steal your uniqueness and individuality, stay true to who you are and the way you were born.
What do you guys think?
