Help fight the YouTube Trolls and Show my Niece some Love by Giving her a like.

All I'm asking for here is a like and a positive comment for a 9 year old Galantis fan getting trolled on YouTube .

Three weeks ago I posted a story about how back in August I travelled back from China where I work as an English teacher to the UK to visit my family, including my brother and his 9 year old daughter Anna.

Anna had requested a song she really loves from me, called No Money by Galantis. I thought it was a great song with a positive message about standing up to bullies, so I'd told her we could make it together at my parents house while I was visiting.

She also has a YouTube channel that she mainly plays games like Minecraft on and she could upload it to that. Seemed like a good, fun idea.

I went the extra mile, I recorded Anna singing the song, found a backing track, removed a few tracks to add my own guitar track, backing vocals and kazoo, hired a face painter to make us up like cats just like in the original video and we went out in the village to recreate the video and ended up with this light-hearted parody. By the way, that's her dad, my brother, playing the cameo of the man leaning on a lamp post.

If you've never seen the original video you might not get the references so here it is:

I have a youtube channel where I cover popular songs, in a comedic style, so my audience knows what to expect, but Anna's subscribers are mainly kids so a few vitriolic comments came in, nothing serious, just people displaying a lack of a sense of humour, but now, the video is showing up on the first or second page for the search term No Money Galantis, it has over 4000 views already and picking up speed..

Dislikes have overtaken the likes

she's received comments like these:

Mean comments can be brushed off, who cares, some people just don't understand we were just having fun, or maybe disgruntled Galantis fans who don't like our take on their song, whatever, it's funny to me and I told Anna when we made this YouTube can be mean, but Vik:piano covers thinks its cool to abuse a 9 year old girl with language like that, that's just plain wrong. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCkwE9b1NoIWIQdmXg0wCXaQ

Isn't it ironic that a cover song about standing up to bullying, by a little girl who has already had to face changing schools after her parents got divorced, is getting so much hate?

I'm writing this post to ask the Steemit community for help to show her that there is more love in this world than hate.

Hi Kyle, sure, you got a link to it for me?

That's some effort in the production. I support this.

Thanks Ace :)

Aaaawwww ok. Left a comment and a thumbs-up.

So when she's grown up are you going to tell her about the time you went to ask people to counter the bullies on her youtube vid? Already a cute story.

That's what uncles are for right? Thanks so much for your thumbs-up and lovely comment, those karate classes she takes paid off :D

I upvoted, and here too. It was a fun video.

There's a lot of people out there "trolls" who have embraced the darkness of the world instead of the love that's buried somewhere deep inside of them. Whenever I see such behavior it tells me they have some major problems of their own trying to put their problems onto other people.
