Yeah, I know exactly what you mean about the smell... But no, most people don't feel sick when they drive. It's to do with how you are focused on the road and driving, so you don't pay attention to the car you're sitting in. That way your brain doesn't get confused between the moving world outside and the stationary one you're sitting in ;)
