Boy oh boy, does this post resonate or what! Isn't it incredible how much we talking monkeys cram into our lives? The tiny little pieces of ourselves that we scatter to the wind all in an attempt to find that little slice of contentment. It's so easy to lose perspective, to get tangled up in the responsibilities!!
You've got it right man. I think most people need to sit back, be in the moment, be present in our lives, else we risk missing those moments that actually make life good. Thanks for the reminder! I do my best to keep a regular meditation schedule to stay in the right frame of mind...it helps.
By the way, I love your goats! My wife and I had to get rid of our apple orchard last year (it was called Goats on a Slope) because we pushed too much chaos into our life and things were coming undone! The sad irony is we never had a chance to get the goats, harvest apples...just a ton of work establishing the orchard only to get rid of it a few years later. Packed too much in our lives :(
Anyhow, post more goat pictures :) They are awesomely funny animals.
I’m starting to wonder if I need to de-load some responsibilities also in order to be able to enjoy the others. It’s so hard keeping that balance in life. Being responsible, orderly, happy, thankful. It seems near about impossible at this point in my life.
Hmmmm maybe I should start doing some kinda meditation or yoga or something to keep me from feeling like exploding. Let’s start a yoga class dan.
Haha ok more goats it is. For right now though here’s the newest additions.
Yeah, I hear ya. Last year, my wife and I decided to revamp our life, simplify everything, re-prioritize, do a better job of focusing in on what matters. It has been a very good, refreshing process, though the mind always seems to want to latch onto new ventures so I'm finding it important to mentally revisit the bigger picture and not chase new things down so quickly. Simplify my friend! Meditation has been a game changer for me....I studied Jon Kabat Zinn's mindful meditation (not an easy process but worth it). And hell yeah, we'll do the yoga class ;)
Ahhh, the bunnies are perfect to chew on (ehr?) while I await some phogoatos. Dang, they are cute little suckers...my son sure would like to snuggle up in that pen!
I bet it was a difficult and long process to get that ball rolling as far as the lifestyle change. I need to start sooner rather than later I guess.
Haha yes these cute little bunnies are good to chew on. Especially fried in butter. I’ve had to keep my boys away from them so that they don’t end up like the baby chick my 1 yr old loved to death a few days ago.
