BANNED on Facebook?
Facebook's algorithms allow terrorist groups, sextortion rings, political extremists, hate speech, bullying, revenge porn, murder and suicide videos, but sharing a Led Zeppelin YouTube video gets you banned for 30 days.
I had to edit in the CENSORED version of the album cover, otherwise this post would also be flagged when shared on Facebook.
Apparently this has happened to thousands upon thousands of users.
Back In June, Rolling Stone ran an article about this phenomenon, claiming that Facebook had "reversed" the ban, after an outcry from fans, issuing this statement:
“As our community standards explain, we don’t allow nude images of children on Facebook, but we know this a culturally significant image. Therefore, we’re restoring the posts we removed.”
Yet despite their mea culpa two months ago, Facebook continues to censor posts, and penalize users for sharing any song or link that features the album cover's artwork, even from the official Atlantic records Led Zeppelin YouTube channel.
I tried appealing it, but received no response whatsoever.
Despite banning me for 30 days and stating that my post was blocked so "no one else can see it" the original post remains visible to visitors on my page nonetheless, ironically quoting the lyric...
"They carry news that must get through"
The Song Remains The Same...
The song does indeed remain the same with Fakebook.
They honestly have no clue, it's the blind leading the frikkin blind in that company.
