I Noticed This Air And Water Machine At A Gas Station I Usually Go To

I was getting gas and noticed this air and water machine. Well, they sure do make sure that you know that they take Visa and Master Card. I think they added this machine recently. I thought this was free before.

Well if there is a need there is money to be made. I guess there is a need since sometimes I see people waiting near by to use it.

When I took this picture I notice that it costs $1.50 to use this device. Of course people will need to use it as air does escape out of the tires and some tires faster than the other.

I had a cousin that always put too much air in his tires. I would always wonder why his tires always blew out. I don't think he had a tire gauge. Tire gauges tell you how much air pressure the tire has and I think he always put too much air in.

Usually these machines have a tire gauge built in, but every one I use seem to be off compared to my tire gauge that is. So I will always go by my own tire gauge.

When I was younger I used to put the maximum amount of air pressure in these certain tires. Well, only because that was the only number given on the tire concerning air pressure.

Of course you don't want to do that cause on a hot day the air pressure would increase beyond its limits.

Well I never blew out a tire that way, but the tire would bulge after awhile. So I would take it back to the tire shop where I bought the set brand new. Well, they just gave me a new tire because of the tire warranty.

Now days I know better. I just put about 33 pounds of pressure in all my tires now days. I think that is a pretty safe air pressure for my vehicles.

Getting back to the air and water machine for cars. I remember in the old days they would let you have air for your tires for free.

That would work cause that means who ever needed air for their tires would go to the gas stations that had one of these machines.

You see, not all gas stations had them. I would always keep in mind where all the gas stations that had them were. Those that would drive around to find them, after they got air for their tires would probably buy gas there too.

I guess that was the motivation to have free air for the gasoline customers.

I remember getting tired of always trying to get to these places. Long ago I would buy a tire pump that you pumped with one of your feet. That worked great and I never had to keep searching for gas stations that had the air machine.

Of course all things break and that pump did break after years of good use. After the foot pump broke I would use an air compressor that I would keep in the trunk of my car.

This is a picture of what I use now to pump up my tires. I keep one in each of my cars. It uses power from the car battery as I plug it in to the car's power source.

When I do use one of them I make sure to have the motor running at the same time as I don't want to drain the battery.

I am glad I have them as I really don't want to pay $1.50 for air or water from one of these machines.

It feels like everything is about money these days. The system has us trapped where we think we "need" the money or else bad things will happen. Big corporations own most of the land now and continue gobbling up more causing us to beholden to their "rent" that they will charge us. Probably a big corporation that owns most gas stations now too.

I read where that is the Subway sandwich chains problems, the rents are so high that they keep having to skimp on the food quality and yet the rents keep going higher.

Evil seems to be in control but we are waking up.

Yes, we are waking up. Thanks @zoomtruth!
