It seems like every time we turn on the news it is another tragedy caused not by nature, by humans.
Hey everyone. More than ever, we have to challenge our anger and our fears and realize the damage they do to us, our friends, communities and those we come in contact with.
They harm us physically and emotionally and cause us to miss out on making or building new connections that can provide us with opportunity, joy and comfort. There is nothing wrong and everything right about someone having different and even opposing ideas being presented to us.This allows us to learn and to challenge our own thinking and long held beliefs.
This process has served mankind and is directly responsible for any progress we have made as a species. But to get the benefits we have to be prepared to let our guard down a bit and not pre-judge so much. And most of all we must always ready to be wrong. Being wrong and acknowledging it is called growth. So as we each operates in our own echo-chambers where we are always right and always the law, remember that we are all in this together and that togetherness is at the heart of the solutions to every problem we face.
Asian, Hispanic White or Black, we all want the same things; a good work, good health, safety for our families, and a chance to do better. Let's not only respect people because we can identify with them, let's respect people because we all deserve respect. Again, I know this is challenging, but focus on the payoff. You give it and you will get at least as much back and who knows you might just make a good friend.
God bless you and your families.
