You need to also take into account the fact that graphic and processing power is increasing exponentially. So developing batteries that can at least last just as before while powering more “power” must be very challenging.

I don't know, CPU/GPU tech has not been increasing anywhere near as fast as it used to be. Most of the focus is on mobile tech.
