Thoughts on Life Love Hate and Expectation

For me, it's easy to say that we live in a world full of love and hate. From another's perspective the world may be full of just one or the other.

Understanding the difference between being realistic, optimistic, and pessimistic can have a profound impact on your understanding of the world around you.

No matter what is going on in your life, good or bad, your day to day stuggles and/or problems are felt just as strongly by you as another individual's problems are felt by them. Who are we to tell another individual that what is important to them is meaningless or they shouldn't worry about that? They can tell you the same thing.

I think a huge problem we have in society is everyone has the notion to tell other people what's best for them. We hold people up to expectations that sometimes have a negative impact on how that person interprets their reality.

Not every individual has the mental capacity to undergo the struggles that life itself throws at them in addition to requirements that they are expected to live up to by society and individuals around them.

I understand that people closest to you will push you out of your comfort zone to make you reach your potential. However, there are individuals that will take advantage and create a set of guidelines and requirements for one to become successful only to their advantage.

This post really has no direction. I just want to vent about how I feel it's unfortunate that many people have overwhelming stress that they live with on a day to day basis solely based on others thoughts and perception of them. I just want to post this to have whoever reads understand that life will always be an uphill battle.

No matter how positive anyone can try to be, there will always be someone around to try to bring their spirit down.

In reality, I believe if you live with a positive mindset and show grace, humility, and gratitude to people then these actions will come full circle.

As I stated in the beginning, this world is full of love and hate. When entities in your life bring these feelings that are not pleasant I would advise finding a way to remove yourself from the situation if possible.

Being surrounded by people with loving energy is the greatest feeling in the world.

Again, this post has no direction, plot, theme, etc..

Nice post. I totally see your point about how even if someone is struggling with something I think is silly, to them it might be more pain than I could imagine.

On the other hand, I'll share something a meditation teacher once said:
"An awakened person sees the suffering of others as a parent sees a child who has just had a nightmare. The parent feels for the child, they know what they are going through is scary and they want them to feel better, but in the end, they know that what they fear is not real."

That quote is spot on! I totally agree, it's almost like we have to let individuals navigate through their own turmoil to figure themselves out. When we try to look like we know the answers to everything and tell someone how to feel about something, their instant reaction is to go against the advice you've just given them.
