Nice, thoughtful post Yoshiko! I completely understand what you are saying. Japan is often quite late to start using new technologies, but when adoption does finally happen, it does so very rapidly. For Steemit to catch on here there needs to be a 'tipping point', as you mentioned Whales, or perhaps celebrity endorsement etc for people to become motivated to post and interact regularly on Steemit! Steem on!
