Funny how things work these days. Iv had the opportunity to integrate into a community that is totally different from Facebook, twitter or quora .
Steemit if it were a person, would be that middle brother nobody remembers thats constantly proving his worth.
A real community at last
In the time I've been here, I have seen members band together to stop scammers from taking over (the so called steem reality game show comes to mind), users holding on, even when the steem dropped below a dollar, people trusting the admins and witnesses during the hardfork confusion etc.
So many "me" memories made here which cannot simply be replicated elsewhere.
Intelligence based discuss vs cursing and rants
I see myself eagerly engaging with users on an intellectual basis(much like quota) rather than with grounded kids(guess which social network(s) they are in ).
All in all steemit has its flaws(which are massive but hidden) but it is becoming the community it deserves to be.
