Day 4

Man what a day.
We’ve decided to leave Sibiu early in the morning so that we can sit at the Black Sea in the evening

First we were heading south to the carpathian mountains. The street was really bad at the bottom of the carpathians. As we started to climb the carpathians the asphalt was getting better but it was still not really safe. In some curves there are big holes in the asphalt or some dirt or gravel. The scenery and the mountain passes are really awesome. It would be a paradise for motorbikes if only the streets were a little better.

After a few kilometers on the way to the top of the Carpathians I heard a strange sound.
I realized that my chain jumped off the sprocket. Andreas was a few kilometers ahead and couldn’t notice it. So I told the driver of the first car which passed me and heading to the top that he should tell him about my problem with the chain.

Shit happens...

Waiting and thinking what to do now.

A few minutes later 4 serbian motor bikers came uphill and helped me. At the end they told me jokingly “If you don’t have money to buy a KTM then buy a Honda but BMW is just a toy” They told me that I can find them in the internet at KTM.rs :). These four guys came to Romania to take part at the Hard-Enduro event in Sibiu.

These 4 heroes from serbia fixed the problem in a few minutes :)

A short time after they leave Andreas came back. A BMW Driver from Hungary saw us standing next to the street. He wanted to turn around and have a smalltalk with us but fell off his bike during the turn. Several hours and about 50 or 60 Kilometers later we leaved the carpathians behind. On the way to Bulgaria we had to cross Bucharest. There was heavy traffic and we had to adapt our driving style to it.

On top of the carpathians

After crossing the border to Bulgaria we saw many constructions sites. Many hundred kilometers of the highways in Bulgaria were renewed. So against all the journals of the other travelers we experienced good roads most of the time here in Bulgaria.

At the very beginning it was weird. We had to drive over fresh asphalt which was still wet.
We were heading for Nesebar a city at the coast of the black sea.
In the middle of nowhere I was getting out of fuel. The first Gas station we saw was closed.
It was about 20:00pm. The next station didn' accept Visa Cards. That man neither wants Euro nor Lei. EC or Master Cards are also not wanted. He only accepted f***ing LEV….
So we had luck at the 3rd Gas Station. I was driving already about 70Km on reserve.

Just arrived at the Black Sea in Nesebar Bulgaria

In the evening we arrived at Nesebar and Andreas had found a man who had a room for us and our bikes.

After having a great meal at the beach we were exploring Nesebar by foot.
After that…..
PARTYTIME AT THE BEACH! What happens in Nesebar Stays in Nesebar..

The distance we travelled today was 724 Km

Yes it was shocking for this moment but afterwards those are things what make a normale tour an adventure. My friend was driving a little faster so he wanted to wait for me on top of the mountains. so he can have fun :) but he returned after waiting too long :) Its all ok
