In Tennessee a college senior defended posing for her graduation pic with a gun in her waistband, is this a good or bad thing? I understand in America and Canada people need to defend themselves but is having her graduation picture taken with a gun strapped to her a great sign for the future?
After she put a graduation photo in which she stares wistfully off-camera whilst pulling up her "Women for Trump" T-shirt to show she was wearing a handgun in her waistband.
After getting what she called a large! "amount of hate" on social media, Brenna Spencer, 22, says she has no regrets.
And of course it is a political expression. And this should be accepted.
My point of view.
I'm thankful, that she has no regrets!
Damn! Save your god given rights!
Yes, I am in Ireland and we don't actually carry guns, I am extremely thankful to live in a country that doesn't need too. But I get you though, I mean everyone has the right and I know its a political expression. It's just when you live in a tiny country it seems questionable. :)
Yes, i understand. Nice to live in a place where you don't have to care about guns or criminals. When a society is workin well, i agree with you (in the aspect of guns for defense. Not in the case of hobby. But we all can have other hobbys, too.)
Right, you said it! I life on a farm in south america and it is neccasary to have a gun here. Minimum as a tool. And this is the meaning of many laws: to have a / the right tool. But people in a city have an other surrounding. I dont know if there is much sense, when everybody in a skyscraper has a gun. But: it's their right (where it's legal).
One point is most important for me:
An armed people can not be tyrannized. And this is the/one reason, why they want ban guns. Look over to germany: these poor sausages there. Little by little all the guns are kept to the state. Because Miss Merkel said it, not long time ago: we calculate with a riot here. The german army now is also able to work with weapons inside of germany. The people doesn't count 1 and 1 together. I think they should. I think there is also a lot of false-flag and brainwash, just to bring the mind of the crowd to the right position.
Happy for you, that you can live without this, because you don't want/need it. I hope so for you.
Stay clear & save! Be blessed!
There you say something with the rights in germany and Miss Merkel... her good friend Miss "von der Leyen" (now Minister of Defence) wants to use refugees for the germany army.
I try to count 1 on 1 and i think, the day will come, that there are riots in germany and than there are standing "armyrefugees" with weapons across the people over here.
"Since the Syrian Civil War, the enlisted members of the Syrian military have dropped by over half from a pre-civil war figure of 325,000 to 150,000 soldiers in the army in December 2014"
Now syria have between 80.000 and 100.000 soliders... so maybe we got/get trained refugees. (don´t get me wrong, please. Refugees can nothing for it, that they must run of their countries!)
On the other side, also the germany weapon industry sells so many weapons all over the world to force wars...
...a look to america´s history... they are fighting since decades with so many countrys to hold their manufactions.
The big question: who want this?
For me, i never what to go in a war or want to need weapons to defend myself and i think, all "normal" human on this planet what the same. Only the big player have something from it, when they sell weapons or make wars. All other are losing!
People are posing with EVERYTHING... why not with weapons? And she was not posing like, that she want to kill immediately somebody.
When you don´t hurt somebody for fun and you want to use a weapon for defence, it´s ok in my opinion.
I'm split but decided as well. May not have been the best for her if her career choice is in the public eye or if her potential employers would have an issue but otherwise, #carryon girl! Sad as it is, here in the US we do have a large criminal element that is practically everywhere these days, waiting to do harm to any and all but especially the unprepared. I support a woman's right to the best defense available to her.
Nice post, #carryon
