Who ever said that getting to the top was about the view only?
There is a difference between walking somewhere and getting somewhere. A walk could be seen as a simple manner of going from A to B, if no additional weight is given to it. A walk could be an insignificant movement towards a goal one has in front, a goal one is so focused on, that everything else, left and right, becomes a blur.
And what is the end goal? The simple fact that we could say that we made it, or at least to try and convince ourselves and other that is the case? To look down without seeing how we got up? No, for there is more to it.
Every step means something, every groan is a sign one cares, every wound is medal one wears with pride and every pain is an experience from which we learn.
Get something out of the walk to the top, open your senses and embrace the experience, good or bad, feel deeply along your way, and only then you will be able to say that you got somewhere, for the goal is nothing without the path.
