Hello , Steemit community .
This is my first article to be posted here , and i went with the festive spirit and wrote my first article covering it.
This festival of Diwali/Deepavali , is the festival of lights , and celebrates the banishment of darkness. Its the main festive time for india , and its many religious sects , with all its brightness.
its a very joyous occasion , and everyone no matter how rich or poor , are all in for the festive mood.
For me on a personal level this festive of lights is very very heart warming and important , So while living alone and away from home , celebrating it became even more important and critical.
I started the day with throwing some string lights onto a plant and this was the final result .(Not a real plant Though)
by evening i ramped up the whole work , and was now in a decoration war with neighbors !!. This tested my electrical knowledge in many ways , after i threw in more lights , it became more harder to have independent power supply for them, and thus went with the serial system.
invariably the whole day went in putting up and planning the layout of lights , which normally would be spent moving around with family . Putting up these lights was important as that was the only thing i could do and Afford. using 4 such lights in the best artistic way i possibly could , it made the night less darker, And a little less alone for me.
I guess in the end no matter where we all go , we carry the best part of our heritage with us.
This was the final evening lighting
and in case anyone is wondering , the whole setup cost me lesser than 10$.
