Yosemite National Park: pictures seem like they are out of a painting

in #life7 years ago

Hello Steemians!

Here is a continuation of pictures from my trip to Yosemite last year. These pictures were taken around other areas of Yosemite. It was amazing to see images like they were drawn on a painting. Yosemite is definitely surreal. There area a variety of ways to stay the night in Yosemite: hotel, existing canvass tent in Half Dome village, or going the RV or tent route on your own at the variety of campgrounds in the area.

The river in these pictures are the Merced River near Upper Pines Campground. Again, this was the last summer of our drought in CA. So, I’m sure that the river level is much higher now. We had a couple of deer walk right within about 20 feet of us as they crossed the river. That was something to behold as you’re sitting in the icy snow melt river water.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures and as always thank you for reading!!!

Pictures were taken with a combination of my iPhone and Canon Rebel T3i.

Just went to Yosemite last month, majestic is the word. We joked that after you come through the tunnel from the south entrance into Yosemite valley it's like entering Jurassic Park! We almost expected to see a brontosaurus! It just seems to beautiful to be real.

Coming out of that tunnel is very surreal. It seemed like we had been driving for an hour on twisty roads going about 15-20 miles per hour. And when we hit the tunnel and came out we saw the open field and mountains. Just like you, I wouldn't have been half surprised to see a dinosaurs walking in the field. Thanks for the comment!

beautiful and relaxing photos.

Thank you! The trip was awesome!

Great photos! Awesome capture of the deers crossing river. I also visited Yosemite last year and had such an amazing experience. Seems like Yosemite is a popular place to write about. I've read a few posts today already and I also wrote about it a few weeks back haha.

Awesome! I'll check out your post. Thanks for commenting!
